High density tungsten heavy alloy
Tungsten products mainly include tungsten plate, tungsten crucible, tungsten rod, tungsten sheet, tungsten boat, tungsten wire, tungsten heater, tungsten shield, tungsten processing, sapphire thermal field and accessories, which are widely used in military, electronics, medicine, chemical and other industries. In recent years, the annual output of tungsten and tungsten alloy materials in China is more than 1500 tons.

High density tungsten heavy alloy is a kind of alloy, which based on the tungsten(the content of tungsten is 85-99%), and added with Ni, Cu, Co, Mo, Cr and other elements. According to the characteristics and uses of the alloy, it can be divided into W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu, W-Co, W-WC-Cu, W-Ag and other major series, its density is up to 16.5-19.0g/cm3, which is known as the high density tungsten alloy. It has a series of excellent characteristics: high density, high strength, strong absorption capacity, thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient, good conductive properties, good welding and processing.

There are two main components: 1. W-Ni-Cu series generally contain 90-95% tungsten, the ratio of the content of nickel copper is three to two, copper can reduce the melting point of the nickel bond phase and improve the sintering properties of the alloy. This kind of alloy has no ferromagnetic properties and the preparation process is simple and convenient. 2. W-Ni-Fe series generally contain 90-98% tungsten, the ratio of the content of nickel iron is seven to three or one to one, this kind of alloy can be heat treatment and plastic processing. On the basis of the above two types of alloy, molybdenum, chromium, cobalt, niobium, platinum, ruthenium, palladium and metal oxide (or metal fiber) can be added to improve the process performance, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the alloy.

High density tungsten heavy alloy is made of powder metallurgy process, the sintering is under the protection of hydrogen, the temperature is usually 1400-1600 degrees. After sintering, the proportion of the alloy can reach 99% of the  theoretical proportion of the alloy. The sintering products can be used directly, and it also can be used as the blank of plastic processing.
