When repair it, it is suitable to have hot patch or cold patch. The size ratio of repair materials and lining materials should be consistent. Boric acid dosage can be slightly higher. Sometimes you can add a small amount of water or water glass to make it easy to shape.
For the molybdenum crucible with serious damage, after cooling, we can peel off the surface layer of molybdenum crucible, according to the steps of knotting the crucible, we can repair the furnace bottom first, scrap the bottom shape of crucible with a scraper, and then put into the crucible type mold to do the knotting and repair of molybdenum crucible wall.
Because the repair part of quartz layer are thin, the knotted time can be shortened, and then the repaired molybdenum crucible can be baked and sintered.
If the repair method is proper, it can improve the service life of molybdenum bar, molybdenum crucible, reduce material consumption, reduce the time to stop furnace, improve productivity and reduce production costs.
