Properties of Tungsten Lanthanum Electrode
The conductivity of tungsten lanthanum electrode is close to 2% thoriated tungsten electrode , the durable current is high and the burning loss rate is low.
In Europe and Japan, tungsten lanthanum electrode has been the most common substitute for thoriated tungsten electrode in most applications. There are three kinds of tungsten lanthanum electrodes, that containing 2% lanthanum oxide, 1.5% lanthanum oxide and 1% lanthanum oxide electrodes. The most common tungsten lanthanum electrode contains 2% lanthanum oxide (La203).
Lanthanum oxide has the lowest electron escape power, the easiest arcing and the lowest pointed end temperature, which helps to prevent grain growth and prolong service life.
