Three methods of making crucibles
According to introduction of molybdenum crucible users, most crucibles we used is the main raw material of crystalline form of natural graphite, and it is made of the plastic refractory clay as the binder and different types clinker. In general, the methods of making crucibles can be divided into three types, namely, the molding crucible in furnace, molding crucible outside of the furnace, and masonry crucible.
Now, I will introduce the characteristics of three making methods of crucibles. First of all, the molding crucible in furnace, it should be mixed evenly with refractory material and additive, and then tie a knot forming in the inductor. Most of medium and small capacity induction furnace all adopted this method to make crucibles. The more than two crucibles are generally produced by this method.
The second is the formed crucible outside of furnace, it is mixed evenly with refractory material and additive, then put into a mold and pressed into the crucible, and it will be put into inductor after drying. It has the advantage of convenient replacement.
The third kind is refractory crucible, and it is with special brick and filler in inductor into the masonry. The crucible manufactured by the method is mainly applied to the large capacity furnace above 5t, and it is generally made of the magnesia alumina spinel and other special refractory brick, but there are also the acid resistant brick masonry.
